Sheena Stephenson really started something when she began to knit for Helping Hands ‘Baby Basics’
Friends started to ask her if they could help as well and before long she was given baby clothes and blankets from all over the town.
Sheena said, “ It is amazing that there are lots of people willing to donate knitted or crocheted blankets, cardigans and matinee jackets. These will go into the “Baby Basic Packages” and will help keep babies warm. We will be very grateful for any further donations, as they will help lots of babies in Aycliffe and surrounding areas.
We are looking for creative people who can knit soft toys too.  Please ring the Helping Hands charity number  07936 431262 if you’d like to get involved.
