Free Entertainment, Tables, Flags etc
The Town Council are to hold a ‘Picnic in the Town Park’ event to celebrate the Queen’s Official 90th Birthday. It will take place on Saturday 11th June 2016 from 11 am – 4 pm in the Town Park, Burn Lane.
Please note that there will be no parking on site and you should walk or use public transport to get to this event. If you must bring a vehicle, please park considerately in the surrounding streets.
The event is not ‘ticketed’ however, entrance will be on a first come, first in, basis. The Council will supply the entertainment, tables complete with table coverings and a limited supply of flags. There will also be a marquee in case of inclement weather.
Please bring a picnic and join us to share in the celebrations.
There will be a catering van and an iced cream van on site so don’t worry if you haven’t time to make up a picnic basket!
To keep the children and adults entertained, we have the following activities on site which are all entirely free. Please note that some activities may not be suitable for all ages/abilities.

As well as the activities shown above, there is a range of play equipment on site for toddlers and older children and a skate park.
