A group of year 10 students from Woodham Academy recently visited South West Durham Training to take part in a plumbing taster experience. These students had expressed an interest in working in this area of engineering as a potential career path.
While on the taster session students got to meet the plumbing team who teach post 16 courses to find out about the content and experiences. They also got to meet plumbing engineers who have worked out in the community. Students got to practice their skills in the workshop and follow engineering drawings to manufacture pipe profiles.
