Greg Henderson, back pain specialist and physiotherapist; runs a successful Back Class from the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe.
The weekly Back Class benefits people who have back, neck or joint problems. Every year at Christmas time Greg organises a charity back class where all funds raised, including the back class fee of £3.50, goes to a registered charity.
This year Greg’s charity back class raised a magnificent £550, which will be donated to the Red Cross Typhoon Disaster Relief Fund
Carol Wood, PCP’s Chief Executive says “Well done to everyone who attended the Back Class and contributed to this worthwhile cause.  The Red Cross will help thousands of people affected by the typhoon survive and rebuild their lives. The support of people like Greg’s Back Class participants will make this vital recovery work possible.”
The Typhoon Haiyan left a trail of destruction across the Philippines, forcing over 4 million people from their homes and leaving many families with nothing.
Red Cross staff and volunteers are working tirelessly, supplying vital emergency aid such as shelter and clean water to help people whose lives were affected.
The Back Class takes place every week at the Pioneering Care Centre on Wednesdays, 5.15pm – 6.15pm and Thursdays, 5.00pm – 5.50pm, 6.00pm – 6.50pm, 7.00pm – 7.50pm and 8.00pm – 9.00pm.
