Dear Sir,
In reply to M. Miller’s letter regarding the Senior Citizens’ trip,  my letter was not ‘negative’ in the slightest, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Whitby as we have enjoyed the Town Council’s excursions for the past 26 years.
I was merely pointing out that the meal provided in the hotel was not up to standard and did so not because of anything to do with Council Tax but to allow the Town Council to see that they paid for an inferior meal. This was to help them make a different choice, perhaps, next time.
My letter was never meant as a criticism but to advise the council. My sister and I have always spoken highly about the Senior Citizens’ trip and indeed look forward to next year, God willing.
Mrs Audrey Humble.
