Last week we announced Stephen Hall and his brother Neville of Hall Construction have bought Woodham Golf Course.
Last Sunday afternoon we snapped Stephen hard at work, tidying up the grass verges on Middridge Road.
The ground care staff have been re-employed and Golf Professional Ernie Wilson has returned and commenced work this week.
Licences to be obtained with a view to opening the sports bar and some facilities in the Country Club early in July.
The owners hope to be in a position to reopen for golf in early July, subject to all necessary consents being in place and the weather improving.
Meanwhile general main-tenance and grass cutting is ongoing along with drainage repairs. Works to the Car Park, Terraces and footpaths commenced on 9th June with a deep clean of the interior of the Sports Bar and Country Club.
All Licences and permits applied for and a new carpet for Golf shop ordered along with new signage for the course.
Stephen and Neville thank dog walkers who have kept an eye on the course while it has been closed. However, now it is being restored they would appreciate dogs being kept off the course.
