Aycliffe Firm Continues Ambitious Growth

LEADING Newton Aycliffe-based consulting engineering firm Morgan Tucker has appointed a new director as part of its continued growth strategy and new organisational structure.
Part of the executive team and board, Neil Horton will be a key driver as the firm continues on its ambitious growth plan, regionally, national and globally.
Neil will be based at Morgan Tucker’s London office and will have strategic and operational responsibility for leading and developing the London and Egham operations. He will work closely with other board members to develop and deliver the main priorities for the London & South East regions.
Neil, a very experienced chartered civil engineer who has held a number of senior director positions including most recently North China general manager at SIP Group Beijing, and senior technical director at WSP in London, said: “What appeals most to me about Morgan Tucker is the company’s potential for growth and its increasingly respected reputation.
“I see the key part of my role as expanding the firm’s presence in London and the South East as well as nationally and globally, as I’ve got a wealth of experience on major projects both overseas and in London, such as the Shard.
“My aim is to position Morgan Tucker in the capital as the reliable and creative consulting engineers. What’s so attractive about the firm is that unlike some of our competitors who employ tens of thousands of people, we provide an expert suite of services with a more personalised style.”
Managing director at Morgan Tucker Matthew Tucker said: “I am genuinely excited about the experience and different outlook that Neil will be able to bring to the business and I am personally looking forward to working with him.
“Neil is an exceptional leader who will bring his own unique combination of technical excellence, expertise in the management and development of peak performing teams and a high level of business acumen to Morgan Tucker.”
