Middridge Parish Council will be holding their Annual Parish Meeting on Monday, 19th May at 6.45 pm in the Middridge Village Hall, The Meeting will be led by Councillor W. Mellors, the current Chairman of the Council.
This Meeting is an opportunity for Members of the Public to question the Council regarding its activities in the previous year.
This Meeting will be preceded by a ‘Police and Community Together’ (PACT) Meeting at 6.00 pm, which deals with policing issues that affect Middridge.
This Meeting is followed by one of the Parish Council’s regular two monthly Meetings. Amongst other matters, this Meeting will appoint a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman for the Council for the following year, and approve the 2013/14 Accounts for the Audit Commission.
All these Meetings are open to the Press and Public unless the Parish Council directs otherwise.
You might also be interested in the fact that Middridge Parish Council have applied under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations (2012) to Durham County Council for Designation of the whole of the Parish as a ‘Neighbourhood Area’. This is a necessary first step in the Parish Council’s intention to develop a Middridge Neighbourhood Plan.
