This is always a very sad time of the year at the nursery and tissues were at the ready as 36 children graduated from the House of Eden Nursery at Cobblers Hall on Wednesday July 2nd.
Dressed in their cap and gowns each child stood on a small stage and told their parents what they wanted to be when they grew up. Ambitions ranged from hairdressers, teachers and firemen to princesses, daddy`s, the Hulk and a power ranger. One small child actually wanted to stay just the same as she is now – she didn`t want to grow up. Certificates were awarded to each child by the new Mayor, Wendy Hillary. The evening ended with the staff and children performing a dance to `The Witch Doctor`.
The House of Eden Nursery are based in the Pioneering Care Centre and provide day care facilities from birth to 4½ years and offer before/after school care and a holiday club for children up to the age of 12 years. They are open 51 weeks per year from 8am to 6pm.
