We recently had the need to replace our aging People Carrier and we would like to take this opportunity to pass on our experiences to the readers of the Newton News.
Having scanned the various internet Trader Sites we embarked on a County Wide search for the right car, we visited Main Dealers as far flung as Durham, Stockton and Northallerton without finding anything that ‘ticked all the boxes’.
There were nice Cars with dodgy salesman and Dodgy Cars with nice salesman but the prevailing trend was for the ‘over the top’ sales pitch.
A typical Vauxhall Zafira became almost £2000 more expensive than its window price by the time Guardsman Upholstery Protection, Sovereign Paint Protection and an Administration Charge was added, all totally unrequired and even more unjustified.
So it was that we returned home, empty handed and deflated until we drove past Ramseys Garage on the Business Park where a vehicle caught our eye, shining in the weekend Sun. After 10 minutes haggling, a very nice cup of coffee and Test Drive the deal was done and our new car now sits proudly on the drive.
In total we spent three weekends and did approximately 300 miles looking for a car that was hidden under our noses all that time. Ramseys are fantastic, the Salesman (Brian) was very helpful and accommodating, at no point trying to stitch us up with anything we didn’t want.
We would definitely recommend Ramseys to anyone looking for a quality motor, they haven’t been here so long for nothing and we will certainly use them again.
