September is a busy month at the Scout Centre. After a lull over the holidays things are getting into gear and we have three things planned for your enjoyment,
Howies Karaoke is on the 8th at 7pm all are welcome to come along and sing your song, good or bad just come down and enjoy yourselves. This year’s Macmillan Day in memory of Keith Sams (Wor lil Keiffy) will be 29th September, 9am till 3pm at The Scouts Centre. Any donations for raffle and tombola will be very gratefully accepted.
Clare’s previous fund raising has raised enough money to pay for a team of nurses for 1 month caring for those who are suffering with this terrible illness, a massive well done to Clare and all your volunteers, let’s help her keep up the good work. Hope to see you all there. Let’s help make a difference.
If you have any energy left after eating cake and drinking coffee how about coming to the Northern Soul night and show us your moves, the music starts at 7pm admission is £3.00 on the door.
The Scout Centre is run by a team of volunteers and we always welcome another pair of hands – if you think you can help in any way, please contact the Scout Centre 01325318901, answer machine when closed, or call in to see us during our opening hours. 7:30pm till 11pm Monday and Friday, 1pm till 11pm Saturday and 12pm till 11pm on Sundays.
