Cllr Ken Robson Vice Chairman of Great Aycliffe Residents’ Association and Cllr Arun Chandran Secretary, are working very hard to ensure residents of West Ward get a say in Livin’s Regeneration Plan.
What is clear so far is that Tenants are overwhelmingly against Livin’s Option 3, whether an Owner or Tenant. In a lot of cases residents have received visits from Livin and were completely unsatisfied by their answers.
GARA strongly recommend people ask Livin to visit them, but they are vague with their answers and refuse to give any guarantees in writing.
GARA continue with the Petition till all homes have responded. There are 514 homes of which 351 have responded so far with 88% against Livin’s Option 3.
Total Homes Opposed to Livin’s Option 3 as at 19.6.2018 are: 300 (of which : Owners 117, Tenants 183). Only 41 were in favour of demolition, (of which Owners 10, Tenants 31) with 10 to make their minds up.
