COMMITTEE MEETING: The committee of Great Aycliffe Village Hall Association meets on Monday, July 8, for a monthly meeting at the village hall at 7pm; all are welcome.

FIRST AID: There is a full-day emergency first aid course on Tuesday, July 9th, at the village hall with qualified first aiders for anyone needing a qualification for work or just wanting to know what to do in an emergency. BREAKFAST CLUB: There is a breakfast club on Saturday, July 13th, at the village hall from 9am-noon, which this month is sponsored by Steven Hall Salon. There will be bacon, egg or sausage buns on offer, as well as cups of tea or coffee. There will also be activities for children and a book stall. All proceeds go to the village hall. This will be the last breakfast club until the autumn.

COMPUTERS FOR BEGINNERS: Computers for the Terrified is a four-week course from Wednesday, July 24th, to Wednesday, August 14th, for people with little or no computer experience who would like to learn the basics about using computers. The classes are provided by a team of tutors based at Woodham Community Centre and take place from 1-3pm. For more details, call David Sutton-Lloyd on 01325-316144.

CRAFTING CLUB: If you would like to learn some creative skills, including knitting, sewing, quilting, card-making or baking, then come along to this group at the village hall on Tuesday, July 16th, and Tuesday, July 30th. Sessions are from 1-3pm and there is an entry fee of £2; refreshments are available.

WI MEETING: The next meeting of Aycliffe Village WI is on Wednesday, July 31st, at the village hall at 7.30pm, when the speaker will be Roger Chappel and Len Mutton on Beekeeping. The challenge is for Shades of Summer. Everyone is welcome. For details, call Kathy Round on 01325-315732.

SENSORY CLASSES: Baby sensory classes continue to take place on Tuesdays at 10.30am at the village hall for babies up to 13 months. For more details, call Carly on 07881-922076.

TAI CHI: Learn the relaxing martial art of Tai chi. Classes take place on Wednesdays at the village hall from 3pm-4.30pm. The cost is £5.
