Local healthy living charity, the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), has a ‘Giving Tree’ to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service based at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe.

People are welcome to place a personal message to loved ones on the tree which can be found in the Pioneering Care Centre, in return for a small donation. Message tags are available from reception and anyone that places a message can take home their very own bauble.

Jane Hartley, Chief Executive of the Pioneering Care Partnership, said: “The Giving Tree is an ideal opportunity for people to support an important cause at a time of year when our thoughts are often with those who are no longer with us.”

“It also enables us to remember and celebrate the excellent work that the Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service have done over the past year to support local people affected by cancer. All donations raised will help Macmillan Cancer Support to continue to develop a wide range of services.”
