Heighington AFC under 9s Russell Foster, sponsored by MAF Plumbing, Heating and Gas Services, played against Improtec this morning and after going in 1-1 at half time and the opposition saying things that upset a few of our players, they really had the best reply possible, running out 5-2 winners. Scorers were Cole x1, Oliver M x1, Oliver C x1 and Dylan x2 (one direct from a corner). Man of the Match to Oliver Y playing brilliantly in defence and keeping the opposition at bay. Excellent performance by the mighty Red and Blacks. We remain top of the league and undefeated.

Durham School’s Ethan Cooper got the ball rolling with a poachers finish, Cole Raine thundered a brilliant second in from 15 yards, before the same man Cooper fired another strike for goal two minutes later – which went in off the back post – to make it three at half time.
The goals kept coming after the break as TSC remained all at sea. Robson slotted home a fourth from the corner kick (unbelievable that this is the 2nd corner kick he has scored in the past 2 days), before Marlesbury got in on the act to make it five and seal a goal against his former club. Raine then steered home a sixth 5 minutes from time, to complete the rout.

Second Game
Again a strong performance by the lads who mixed it about in different positions, allowing all to experience different ways within a solid team, goal by Delderfield. A 2nd half surge saw the Blacks finish the game off with 2 well taken goals from Whiting and McKenna to seal a 3-1 victory.
