Under 7’s

Heighington were in cup action this Week against Local Rivals Newton Aycliffe Juniors and started with Louie in goal, Kyleo and Liam at the back Tyler in a free Role and Archie up top.

Archie assisted the first 3 goals for Heighington 2 of which came from a man on fire Tyler and one from Kyleo. Tyler then completed his Hat trick inside 10 Minutes. Kyleo, who also had a wonderful game then got Heighington’s 5th and 6th to complete his 9th Hat trick for the club. Tyler finished the scoring in the 1st half as they went in to the break 7 goals to the good.

Changes made at HT with Archie and Liam making way for Kenzi and Alex. A much more competitive second half, however Kenzi made it 8 before Aycliffe pulled a deserved Goal goal back before Kenzi rounded off the scoring to finish the game 9-1. Man of The Match Went To Kyleo

The second game was the same scoreline. Alex started in Goal, With Maddix and Kenzi at the back and Archie and Zane up top. Kenzi opened the scoring with a great Goal, before setting Zane up for his 3rd of the season and his 10th for the club and they went in at the break 2-0 up. The second half Aycliffe tired and Heighington took full control Kyleo added a 3rd before an own goal put Heighington in cruise control, Maddix then hit the post, but made no mistake with his next chance. Archie then scored with an acrobatic Goal with his backside from a Kyleo corner. Before Alex scored directly from a corner via the Keeper. Archie then scored, after a thunderbolt Free kick from Liam was blocked and Archie pinged in the rebound from the edge of the box. There was still time for Aycliffe to grab a consolation with a great strike from distance, to finish the scoring at 9-1 again. Maddix was given the MOTM award in this game and Tyler picked up Player of the Day

Under 12’s

Heighington faced Eaglescliffe Elementis FC in a cup match thi week. . After a very slow start to the game and going 1 down panic set in. Then they pulled themselves up and started talking to each other and got the equaliser through Lewis Sangster. All of a sudden everyone was winning their battles and Lewis helped himself to a further 3 goals (4 goals in total) and Joe Fraser adding another. Running out 5-1 winners. Fantastic match and great start to the season 2 wins out of 3 matches. Another win next Sunday.
