Greenfield Arts are excited to launch their new spring programme with a range of exhibitions, activities and projects to engage the community and support creativity. Spring is coming and with it the chance to start something new! Why not learn new skills in a lovely environment and be part of the Greenfield community.
The season launches with ‘Fragility and Fantasy’ by Bob McAvoy and Geoff Bradshaw; a wonderful exhibition which showcases artistic expertise and creativity in a unique collective of photographs and composite images. The Greenfield Gallery will then host our popular ‘Open Art’ exhibition, drawing upon our season’s theme ‘Shaping Landscapes’. The ‘Open Art’ runs every year and is a chance for new and established artists to get a taste of exhibiting and selling their artwork.
Our specialist arts programme offers the chance to learn new skills and enjoy activities whilst meeting like-minded people. This spring we are offering high quality workshops such as Landscape Photography with artist and photographer Elaine Vizor, Painting Landscapes with Jayne Blacklock and a brand-new repeat pattern making workshop with Maria Cooper. Our programme also includes Spanish for all levels and two Yoga classes led by practitioner Leigh Johnson; the sessions run for ten weeks and cost £45 for the full course and are always popular with our community.
Our free offer continues for young people with our Creative Explorers. The young curious minds have been creating wonderful pieces and loving creativity over the past few seasons. We can’t wait to see what they create this spring, sharing their work with others as they explore more about the world around them. The activities are suitable for age 7+; come along and join the group, have fun by making something amazing. Our free offer extends to holiday activities at both Shildon and Newton Aycliffe with workshops inspired by our theme during half term, just check out our website to find out more.
