Mrs Sue Snowdon, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant confirmed to open free event providing job and training opportunities for local young adults hosted by the National Careers Service.
The County Durham National Careers Service are hosting a free Careers Event on 24th August between 1pm-4pm at Bishop Auckland Town Hall to support young adults aged 24 and under in to work, education or training. The event is free to attend, and all are welcome.
So far, over 40 organisations have confirmed their attendance, who will be providing a wide range of opportunities for young people. This includes the NHS, Royal Air Force, Marstons, Beamish, Auckland Castle, Premier Inn, Armed Forces, Esh, ITEC, Baltic Recruitment, Geek Talent, Accenture, Amacus, Premier Community Care, Colleges and many more. With so many fantastic companies in attendance and advice from the National Careers Service available on the day, whether you’re interested in construction or hospitality, software development or healthcare there’s bound to be something there for you.
The event already looks like it’ll be very popular, so don’t miss out! We encourage any young person who is looking to get ahead in their career to come along and find out more about what’s on offer.
