“FUNNY COW”
The “Feel Good Film Show” at St. Clare’s Church on Tuesday 23rd April features the 2017 comedy drama “FUNNY COW” starring Maxine Peake (Twinkle in Dinner Ladies), Tony Pitts, Stephen Graham and Alun Armstrong.
“Funny Cow” wants to be a stand-up comedian; but everyone knows that women aren’t funny, not in the north east in the 1970’s. Contains strong language, domestic violence and sex references, but Maxine Peake is superb as a woman determined to have her voice heard.
