Carl Morfoot of Woodham Village graduated  from The University of Birmingham  with a BSc. Honours Degree in Applied Golf Management with PGA Status.
The three year course is the only one in Europe and only after a very intense admission process where only twenty five are accepted. Carl is now looking forward to his dream job as a fully licensed PGA Professional Golfer with  PGA coaching and playing status.
Carl started playing golf at the age of 11 at the Oak Leaf Sports Complex under the watchful eye of Ernie Wilson and then moved on to Woodham Golf Club as a junior playing for the junior team, again with Ernie Wilson.
He was soon playing alongside the men in the first team and then progressed to county level. It was at this stage he realised he wanted a career in golf. After two years Golf Studies at Gateshead Golf Academy and three years at The University of Birmingham he got his wish.
Presently Carl  has taken  up an opportunity to coach and play at the very exclusive Quinto da Lago complex in Portugal. On Carl’s return he will be taking up a position at one of our local golf clubs.
