Always a delight to visit St Clare’s Care Home where the staff and residents are always cheery. We took part in a wonderful sing song led by War Vera who was captivating as always in her red, white and blue outfit.
Vera took us on a journey down memory lane while singing some old favourites that led to great merriment and dancing, where possible, by all concerned including ourselves.
As guests were treated to tea and coffee and would you believe a tasty lunch of egg, beans and chips followed by Eton Mess (who would be a Mayor and Mayoress, the eating involved is a hard job, but someone has to do it!). We were kindly presented with a goody bag containing a variety of mementos of the occasion including a scroll commemorating our visit, which we will treasure and keep as a souvenir of our time in Office.
Whilst there we met many of the residents and staff who took us under their wing and befriended us. The staff are very attentive to the care of the residents and are always full of fun. Once again, many thanks for the invitation, I am sure you know that we enjoyed the occasion.
