St Clare’s Church in Newton Aycliffe is planning to live-stream King Charles III’s Coronation on 6th May. Townsfolk are welcome to join the event from 10am to share in this landmark moment.
Refreshments will be available, but visitors can also bring food to eat or share.
The Coronation is just the start of an action-packed year at St Clare’s.
75th Anniversary Exhibition
An exhibition, marking the town’s 75th Anniversary, will take place at St Clare’s on 10th, 11th and 12th August.
The many clubs and organisations who use the church halls are also being invited to participate to promote their activities.
The exhibition will recall the church’s early years, through to the present. Did you know that the first services were held in the Clarence Farm complex and the first font was a fruit bowl?
If you have memories/photos of weddings, christenings, or activities at St Clare’s over the years, please email Debbie Ingram: debsy1957@hotmail.co.uk
