At the next public meeting of Bishop Auckland Civic Society on Tuesday, 26th March at 7.30pm in the Town Hall, Steve Owers will address the Society on the subject of Search and Rescue in County Durham.
Steve, now retired, was District Manager in Durham County Fire Brigade in a 36 year career. He has spent all his professional life rescuing people and property from perilous situations.
He has been a member of Teesdale Mountain Rescue for 24 years – a voluntary role which he combines with running courses and expeditions in mountain safety.
