In recent weeks the boundary metal railing fence at Stephenson Way Cemetery has been extensively damaged along the section of land which is adjacent to the path running to the rear of residential properties at Keld Road.

The Town Council spent a significant amount of time repairing this section of fencing last year as part of the site improvements and replanting programme following the removal of the overgrown conifer hedge.

The fence has been pushed and twisted in several locations along the length from outside the cemetery. Great Aycliffe Town Council are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that may lead to identification of the culprits.

Local residents are asked to contact the Town Council with any information on 01325 300700 or info@great-aycliffe.gov.uk
