After almost 40 years living in the village, I finally decided to have a walk up the path that goes past the village church, but was disappointed to find it was blocked, midway, by a fallen tree / very large bush. After speaking with another walker, I realised the path had been blocked for most of the year.
Anyhow, I am pleased to say, after a lot of sweat and muttered curses, I’ve finally managed to clear it. I wear the nettle stings and scratches with pride!
It would be good if you could use your publication to let other walkers know as the place it was blocked was around a bend in the path, and people may not realise otherwise.
