Health visitors and family support workers are on hand across County Durham to support new mums keen to breastfeed their babies.
Breastfeeding workshops, baby cafes and support groups are available throughout the area to highlight to pregnant women and their families that there is another option to formula milk.
Staff are available during the sessions to offer advice and guidance on breastfeeding. Workshops provide information for families allowing them to make an informed decision on how to feed their new baby. Baby cafes and support groups offer advice and support for those who have already chosen to breastfeed.
