Four years ago, we fought what we thought was a failed campaign to keep all of Aycliffe in the same proposed constituency. The new proposed boundaries published this week keeps Aycliffe together. The new  constituency Numbered “8” is to be called ‘East Durham’. That constituency sees Great Aycliffe linked with new places. Heighington  moves into Darlington and the east of the constituency is stretched further eastwards and northwards to include places like Bowburn, Shotton and Blackhall. The boundary changes aimed at reducing Parliament by 50 MP’s are bad for the Labour Party, seeing a number of their constituencies disappear altogether. approval. The Boundary Commission want everything tied up before the next Election in
