A good week for the Youthy with half of our 22 teams finally getting games.

Aycliffe U14 Boys 2 v Leven Whites 0
Massive game for the lads, in context of the league table. After the first ten minutes, they grew into the game, defending well & winning the midfield battle. Two second half goals got the job done. Goals – Josh and Charlie. POTMs: Harry & Josh.
Winlaton 1 v Aycliffe U15 Eagles 1
Aycliffe dominated possession in the first half. Against the run of play, Winlaton went ahead with some help from the wind. The lads battled on and were rewarded when a ball into the box from Harry saw Hamza find the back of the net and the points shared. MOM Finn.
Aycliffe U14 Girls 0 v Darlington Young Bulls 0
First half, Aycliffe had a few efforts with the wind behind us but were not clinical enough. Second half, the opposition had more chances to win but a draw a fair result. POTM Pippa.
Aycliffe U17 Girls 5 v Middlesbrough 1
Playing into a strong wind, Emma Curry opened the score. After a few more attempts Daniella Jackson pounces on a deflection score. Imogen Milburn finally completed a run through to join the list. In the second half, a long run by Sophie McLean crossed to Mia Glasper for another, then Boro managed to claim one back. Mia once again took advantage in a crowded box to finish.

Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Hurworth
This was the first home game for a number of months and the lads found themselves a couple of goals down early on. The boys battled back, 3-2 down at HT. The opposition scored early in the second half, but Aycliffe never gave up and managed to get a draw. Two goals for man of the match Toby and one each for Josh and Mason.
Aycliffe U10 Wildcats v TIBS
Strong wind made for difficult conditions, though both teams did their best to get the ball down and play. Erin’s long range effort was the difference at half-time. Penny put in another POTM performance to keep TIBS at bay until they bundled one in mid way through the second half. Aycliffe looked dangerous on the counter, but just couldn’t find the finish to nab the victory. POTM: Penny and Erin.
