ANNUAL MEETING: The annual meeting of Great Aycliffe Village Hall Association takes place on Monday, 9th March, at Aycliffe Village Hall at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and find out more about the association, and hear about our plans for this year. On Tuesday, 10th March, there will be a committee meeting at the village hall at 8pm to discuss roles and start planning the village fete on the green in July, being held as part of Aycliffe Festival.
BREAKFAST CLUB: The next breakfast club takes place on Saturday, 14th March, at Aycliffe Village Hall from 9am-noon, and is sponsored by John Wade. There will be bacon, egg or sausage buns on offer, as well as cups of tea or coffee. Plus, there will be activities for children and a book stall. All proceeds go to the village hall.
BABY SENSORY CLASSES: For parents and carers with babies up to 13 months, there is a sensory class at Aycliffe Village Hall on Tuesdays at 10am. For details, call Carly on 07881 922076.
NEEDLE AND THREAD: Anyone with a sewing project, such as patchwork, knitting, crochet or rag rugging is welcome to go along to a needle and thread group at Aycliffe Village Hall on Tuesday, 17th March, from 7-9pm. For more details, call Tricia Johnson on 01325 314735.
BINGO: It’s eyes down at a bingo session at Aycliffe Village Hall on Wednesday, 18th March, at 7.30pm; all are welcome.
WI MEETING: The next meeting of Aycliffe Village WI is on Wednesday, 25th March, at Aycliffe Village Hall when Elizabeth Lewis demonstrates the art of flower-arranging. The challenge is for a Gift Fit for Royalty. The meeting starts at 7.30pm. For more information, call Sue on 07775 680804.
JUNIOR DISCO: There is a junior disco on Friday, 27th March, at Aycliffe Village Hall from 6.30pm-8pm. There will be dancing, refreshments and glitter tattoos on offer. The cost is £1 and proceeds go to the village hall.
