The Aycliffe Business Park Group met last week to celebrate their 2nd birthday and were hosted at Ebac’s Heighington Lane Factory where they are producing refrigeration equipment.
Over 50 people representing Aycliffe businesses enjoyed a hot breakfast and coffee while networking and hearing the Steering Group’s plans for 2015.
Chairperson Kerina Clark gave a summary of a successful  2014 and commented on the progress of Aycliffe businesses  generally.
“Bringing Aycliffe business leaders together has justified our existence as more and more talk to each other and recognise they can obtain goods and services on their doorstep.” said Kerina.
2015 should see a more formal organisation as the Steering Group move towards drafting a constitution for adoption by members with the aim of obtaining funding to employ staff to run events. The general administration, is currently carried out by volunteers who already have very busy lives.
Events including networking, seminars etc. will be held in most months of the year and businesses are encouraged to use the website which carries details and also some very useful information to help Aycliffe businesses: www.aycliffebusinesspark.co.uk
