Last week Williamena Keal was our guest in the studio to discuss the P.A.N.D.A.S. community support group. Formerly the Shildon Unique Parents and Carers group, it has developed to become Parents of Additional Needs and Disabilities Advice and Support group.
As a community based group, they are committed to champion the needs of parents and carers with children who have additional needs, a disability or SEN. Their aim is to bring as many groups, agencies and individuals together, to raise awareness of the support and guidance, advice and activities available across the region, and connect services with the people who need them the most.
Their networking event on the 11th August at the Shildon Railway Institute was a great success, with a number of support groups and agencies in attendance. For further information on the group and future networking events you can contact their fb page or email:
