Popular residents group ACORN held their annual Fun Day on Saturday with the intention of raising funds for a defibrillator to be used at future events and bus trips. With the support of members of the public who donated items for a Tombola and local Businesses including G. Little MOT and Servicing, Tesco, Wilkinson’s and Boyes who donated prizes for a raffle £248 pounds was raised.

It was a fantastic day which was well attended by enthusiastic children keen to take advantage of free rides and slides. Petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castle, face painting and the brilliant Professor Nincompoop whose antics kept all entertained.

Of course none of this would be possible without support from the Big Lottery fund to whom we are eternally grateful and lottery players across the country.
