Darlington Rotarian Gary Blenkinsopp working alongside Rotary North East ‘One Life’ Initiative, was on a mission to install public access defibrillators across Aycliffe Business Park. He appealed for companies to agree to the installation of a defibrillator at their site but in a position accessible to all 24 hours a day. First to step forward was local company BTS Facades and Fabrications.
On a recent visit to the BTS premises on the Business Park, Rotary Newton Aycliffe Vice-President, Margaret Ord, and Gary met with Company Director, Marcia Atkinson. Marcia told us that BTS was very supportive of charities and organisations in Newton Aycliffe and presently sponsored Newton Aycliffe Football Club and the Dog Training Club amongst others. Marcia is also taking part in the Great North Run to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. To say the company is invested in our community is an understatement so, when they were the first stepping forward to host a defibrillator, Rotary was delighted, but not surprised.
Well done all at BTS Facades and Fabrications.
