A team of 36 from Aspire Fitness Studios Newton Aycliffe. are competing in a seriously tough obstacle-filled Mud Run where they will come up against cargo nets, climbing walls, tunnels, freezing open water, muddy ditches and lots of filthy surprises along the way at the event which takes place at 2pm on Sunday 23rd March at Hardwick Park.
The fundraiser was organised by Kelsey Coulter, who “was inspired to raise funds after experiencing such a personal and traumatic time in their lives with their youngest son, it made them stop and realise how precious life is and to make every second count with our loved ones and help support other families which is why we chose Butterwick Children’s Hospice.” said Kelsey
Sharon Whitehead, at Aspire said ‘The response from our members to participate was truly overwhelming. The majority are stepping out of our comfort zones to take part. The nerves and excitement are kicking in but I know that together, we will all make it such a great team event whilst raising essential funds for our chosen charity The Butterwick Childrens Hospice in Stockton.’
Last year the Aspire team raised over £800 for the Butterwick Adult Hospice participating in the Midnight Walk and would love to exceed that amount.
If anyone would like to show their support they can sponsor the team online athttp://www.justgiving.com/aspiremuddymayhem or text ASPI73 followed by the donation amount e.g. £2 to 70070 alternatively contact Sharon 07879 996728, contact us on Facebook: Aspire Fitness Studios Newton Aycliffe or call in to the studios: Durham Way North, Aycliffe Business Park, www.aspirefitnessclasses.co.uk
