3 Peak Challenge in aid of MND

Newton Aycliffe resident, Richard Mallender, has set himself, and a few sporting friends, a challenge to raise money for MND by completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
Richard Mallender (cricketer for Cliffe CC),
Peter Sheen, Paul Ellis, Stuart McLean (ex-rugby players for Newton Aycliffe RUFC), Martin Armitage (ex cricketer and rugby player from Middlesbrough RUFC), with other guests, will set off on the challenge in the early hours of Monday 30th May 2022.
A gruelling three high peaks to reach along a 25 mile trail to be completed inside 12 hours.
Motor Neurone Disease is the chosen charity for this. Please follow the JustGiving page (below) – any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Training for this task is already underway with a recent assent up Blencathra in the Lake District. There will be fun podcasts posted during this challenge to keep everyone up-to-date.
