The Bishop Auckland Fundraising group of Marie Curie held a successful Festive Christmas event in West Auckland Memorial Hall on Sunday. Guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and rocked the afternoon away by dancing to music from the  50s and 60s with singer and musician Robson Field.

An amazing £1,112 was raised – monies which will be used to provide end of life care for the terminally ill in the Bishop Auckland area. Thanks go to all those who donated prizes for the tombola and the raffle. The BA Group meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the Community Fire Station on Watling Road at 1.30pm and invites others to come along and join this friendly group who aim to make a difference to those in medical need.
