Sedgefield 75 competed at their first competitive meet of the season at Billingham forum last Sunday. The club has only been back to full training for past two weeks after a summer break and only took a young squad, so it was a fantastic result when all swimmers attending came close or beat last their personal bests.

Attending swimmers: Grace Dutchburn, Niall Coulthard, Katelyn Craig, Alyssa Craggs, Kate Tolley, Jessica Hall, Rebecca Hall, Zac Hodgkinson, Haydn Craggs, Netanya Alwis, Lauren Chatt & Viven Alwis.

Attending Coach Lee Craggs commented, “The squad has trained hard over the last couple of weeks to get back into race condition, and hopefully we can build on these results in the coming season”.

Swimming is a great way of improving your cardiovascular and general all-round fitness and lots of Sedgefield 75’s younger members excel in other sports and regularly represent their schools at athletics, track and field, biathlon, triathlon, football, rugby to name a few.

Sedgefield 75 train at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on most evenings, if you would like a try out to join the club, come along on Monday nights between 18:00-19:00 and speak to one of the Coaches, or for more information on the club you can also visit the their website at: http://www.freeteams.net/sedgefield75
