Andrew Bell was born and raised in Newton Aycliffe.

This is Andrew’s debut horror novel, which was written after being convinced by friends and family to pen a story based on real events.

The book takes place in Newton Aycliffe during 2016, with some references to the town’s past (both recent and more ancient).

The story is based on true events, about a haunting Andrew and his family encountered. Names have been changed to protect identities, however, residents of Newton Aycliffe will easily recognise certain places fro the description.

Book’s description: Based on true events in 2016, when John Davidson and his family moved into Skipton Road, they had no idea of what horrors awaited them. Through a series of vivid nightmares and events, the Davidson’s came to learn of a malignant menace that still dwelled within their new home – a witch, and something else far-more ancient.

‘The Skipton Haunting’ is a tale of love, suffering and redemption. It is a story that haunts this family even to this day.

* This book is not for the faint-hearted and John has already received fantastic feedback from many readers.

“My dream would be to see it adapted for television/ cinema release” said Andrew.
