On Friday, 15th June at 7.30pm in St. Andrew’s Church at South Church, the third in Bishop Auckland Music Society’s 2018 Concert Series features Latvian cellist, Kristiana Ignatjeva with Sven Heinoja at the Steinway piano.

Kristiana is currently studying at the Royal College of Music with Professor Melissa Phelps.

She has won many national and international awards for her playing and has recently been the recipient of the Muriel Taylor Scholarship.

In addition, Kristiana is the winner of the First Prize and Unaccompanied Bach Prize at the Violoncello Competition at the Royal College of Music.

Together with Sven at the piano, she will perform work by Beethoven, Franck, Prokofiev and Piazolla.
