Year 8 students recently took part in a STEM Day at Woodham Academy where students worked in teams to build and program robots.
Once complete, the robots worked autonomously around a floor map. Students also experimented with using sensors to control the robot, so it could think for itself and make decisions.
The STEM day was hosted by Hyett Education and the Ministry of Defence, designed to raise awareness of high-quality careers within STEM. Our students will continue to build upon this learning in Year 9 with our robotics curriculum.
