Zanshin-Kai Karate, based in Woodham Community Centre, finished 2013 with a black belt grading at which: Marc Harrison was promoted to 3rd Dan.
A big well done to the following students of which three are junior students and one a mum and son team achieving black belts on the same day.
Fiona Alton 1st Dan, Mackenzie Alton 1st Dan (Junior), Katie Fenton 1st Dan (Junior) & Liam Collingwood 1st Dan (Junior)
This was followed by a coloured belt grading, which was well attended and the instructors were very pleased with both the standard and enthusiasm shown by all students.
Each successfully earned their new belts: Kriss Wall, Gav Tones, Mathew Butterworth, Darcy Greaves – 8th Kyu Yellow Belt
Aaron Busby – 7th Kyu Orange Belt
Pete Doughty – 5th Kyu Blue Belt
Jessica Butterworth – 4th Kyu Purple Belt
Jayson Durham, Joanne Fenton – 3rd Kyu Brown Belt
