I do not live in the West Ward, but on Saturday 23rd June I had the pleasure of attending a free BBQ held in the Community Centre in Silverdale Place.
The residents were very welcoming and the free food was exceptional. I was bowled over by the community spirit in this area.
The volunteers, which were numerous, did a marvellous job. I hope this ward continues to keep alive their community spirit as it would be a tragedy to lose something so worthwhile.
