Council Meeting – Wednesday 13th September at 7.00pm

Great Aycliffe Town Council’s Policy and Resources meeting takes place on Wednesday 13th September at 7pm, doors open 6.30pm. We have a very busy agenda that night, the main item of interest to some will be the issue concerning the Newton Aycliffe Scouts Supporters Association (NASSA), and the decision of the Management Committee to expel the 1st Scout Group from the building.
Members of the public are most welcome, and it will help if you arrive early, parking in the visitors car park, there is limited public seating so it would very helpful if you could ring 300700 to advise you will be attending so we can seek to cater for the numbers.
We will be dealing with this item first, so the public can ask questions and make statements and then listen to councillors debate it.
Then leave if you so wish, or stay and listen to the rest of the meeting, which might be very interesting to some!
Feelings are no doubt running high and I believe the Council will be unanimous in seeking a satisfactory resolution to this.
Hopefully the Management Committee will reconsider its actions.
