Shildon based Rugby League, the Durham Tigers, are preparing to compete in the upcoming Rugby League season which begins in April. Open age coach Steve Morley said “All of the teams are working really well together and there is a great dynamic between them, I have good expectations for the boys this year, they had a good season last year and I expect them to do even better this year because they have been training hard all winter and with the addition of new coaches the team is in a good place right now and I think they will have a an even better season this year.”

If you would like to support the Tigers they will be playing all of their home games at the Shildon Leisure Centre from next month as well as several pre season friendlies from Saturday. Phil Selby, the club secretary said  “If you would like to come along and support us, you are more than welcome to, all support is good for the players’ confidence, also Rugby League is a thrilling sport to watch.”

“If you would like to find out more about the club or its fixtures” said Phil Selby.
