I am sitting down finally, at 10pm, after finishing with our lovely prickly babies and believe me I have lots of them here from all over the district. Earlier today I admitted two, one of which is from Hartlepool!
It is very difficult for all us rehabbers at the moment, being full to bursting, and I am grateful to everyone who provides this rescue with the financial and moral support that we desperately need. I have that many here which are too small to release anytime soon, the number of babies is far more than I have ever known. Friends and fellow rehabbers are all full with somewhere between 20 and 30 infants, we all have families and homes to run on top of our rescues too.
Special thanks to June, Val and Millie who helped me with the St Clare’s church craft sale last week, these babies don’t come cheap, also it was lovely to see Ann and Bill and everyone who donated to these beautiful mammals.
Over the next few weeks I will be fundraising, we will be at Ayclive this weekend, and The Petting Zoo on Saturday 12th August, I will be there with information leaflets. Hope to see you soon.
Photo is of our beautiful Helena, she came in last week weighing 133 grams and is doing well.
