It has been such a busy week at our newly formed Prickly Haven Rescue which has kept myself, Viv and Joan exceptionally busy. Over the course of the last few days I have taken two little ones out of our own garden here at Cobblers Hall, too small to endure these extreme weather conditions, indoors now and eating very well with no other health issues at this time.

A boy on Monday morning, we have called him Ben, and a little girl Tuesday night, a name has to be thought of for her.

Meanwhile, Miracle Molly is responding to antibiotics and pain relief, she has had something rather sharp injure her just above her left leg and paw, very much a work in progress. It’s without a doubt that had we not brought them in when we did, we would have had some either really poorly hogs or even worse, dead ones.

We now have 14 hedgehogs in our care all of which are doing really well.

Can I thank June for reading this blog and her offer of some much needed help for the Community Spirit Fair, the fundraising is a crucial aspect because we are self funded, all the support we get for these prickly pals is very much appreciated.

If you need any help with a hedgehog, the British Hedgehog Preservation Society are still ready for your calls on 01584 890801 or the hedgehog street App is also a valuable tool.
