Spectrum Roller Skating Club were represented with two nominations at the recent Durham and Dales Sports and Physical Activity Awards Night. The evening was a red carpet, champagne reception, glistening evening with a motivational speech from a gymnastics coach.
The nominations were for Junior Sports Club of the year and also Nicola Stevens (16) from was nominated as Young Volunteer of the Year and went on to win the award. Nicola’s contribution to the club has been amazing. She helps to coach young skaters, organises and assists with choreography, events, shows, hair, make up, costume and music as well as social media. She has been instrumental to the establishment of the club.
What a fantastic night and now we are representing the area at the regional awards to be held at Ramside Hall.
