St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is under new leadership. Kirsty Evans has taken over as Head Teacher at the primary school in Newton Aycliffe. Kirsty Evans was previously Head Teacher at St Chad’s Catholic Primary School, both schools are within the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust.
St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School have recently been awarded a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted. Ofsted stated that ‘St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a happy and caring community’ and that ‘staff know all pupils well, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and adapt the teaching to meet individual needs’.
Mrs Evans has said “It is an honour to be joining the brilliant team at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. I am looking forward to working closely with the staff, the children and their families to build upon the strong foundations which are already in place to ensure that St. Joseph’s continues to provide the best possible education for every child, working as part of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust.”
Mrs Evans also added that in her new headship at St. Joseph’s, she would love to further develop links with the local and wider community.
