Woodham Golf and Country Club would like to invite new and existing lady golfers to join with the clubs members to expand the current Ladies Section.
If you’re an existing lady golfer, the club is offering an opportunity to join a section with a successful County League Team who have been promoted in four successive seasons and now compete in the first division of the Durham County League.
Are you tempted to check out golf but did not know where to start? Well, if so, Woodham Golf & Country Club are providing introductory sessions just for you running throughout the Spring and Summer.
One hour FREE taster sessions are on offer provided by the clubs PGA Golf Professional which will give you the opportunity to find out if you are the next Charley Hull.
No need for any equipment as it will all be provided – just wear comfy clothes and trainers and get yourself along. You’ll get the opportunity to meet some of the lady members too who will be there to support you throughout, and we will even be providing complimentary refreshments – prosecco, cakes and coffee in the Clubhouse afterwards!
If you enjoy the taster sessions, and would like to have more tuition, there will also be the opportunity to participate in a 5 week Get Into Golf programme which is on offer at the club and which will get you ready to try out our beautiful parkland course.
Throughout the taster sessions, the Get Into Golf programme and your initial visits on the course, you will be supported in each step by the club professional and mentored by existing members of the Ladies Section.
The Ladies Section at Woodham is very welcoming and caters for all ages and abilities and it’s not just golf that we enjoy. We support and encourage new players to improve and progress to play in competitions, but, just as importantly we run regular social events to have a lot of fun and laughs.
