Messy Harvest Children’s Church thank all the families who supported the Food Bank this harvest time. The groovy wheelbarrow was filled to overflowing and the church was filled with laughter and love as 52 children and their families enjoyed the messy harvest activities including song and prayer.
The church was beautifully decorated with the children’s artwork and the children learnt the most important words HARVEST is SHARE and that if we all did our best to share fairly, we would be helping to end poverty in the world.
The next Messy Church is Messy Advent on Saturday November 30th at 4pm. Come and start preparing for the reason behind the season. St Clare’s Food Bank was overwhelmed by the response not only by the messy church but also classes 3 and 4 from Sugar Hill Primary School who brought their harvest contributions with them. They enjoyed looking around the church, especially looking after the church ‘mice’ and viewing the stained glass windows from inside.
Many had been in St.Clare’s before, but for some, it was their first visit. The church was very happy to have such well behaved and interested children come along to find more about the church which belongs to them.
